Foreign Trade Zone:
Triple Freeport Zone status defers duties

Daryl Flood Logistics’ distribution center in Coppell, TX is located just minutes from the DFW International Airport and is within the airport’s foreign trade zone, also known as an FTZ or free trade zone. We are currently in the process of gaining FTZ approval for Daryl Flood’s Coppell, TX warehouse. This can be a huge advantage for importers since FTZs are considered to be outside the U.S. commerce system and allow you to delay import duties and other fees until the product is shipped from the zone.
Features of the Dallas location
- “Triple Freeport Zone” – this special status means goods stored within the zone but shipped outside the state of Texas within 175 days of arrival incur no local, county or school taxes while in the zone.
- Product Transformation – We can perform simple to complex value-added services within the warehouse to transform your product into sales-ready condition. For instance, product imported in bulk can be packaged in the facility and shipped out as finished units.
- Customs Clearance – We coordinate with our customs broker for administration of U.S. Customs clearance and fee payment.
- Convenient Airport location – For your airfreight imports, we are literally just five minutes from DFW Airport.
Benefits of a foreign trade zone in Dallas
- Improve cash flow by deferring import duties
- Reduce duty charges – multiple components shipped in separately can incur separate duty charges, but if packaged into a single unit there is just one duty charge.
